BartPE is what you might also call the Ultimate Rescue CD or the dream of many administrators.
The idea is based on Windows Preinstallation Environment, or WindowsPE by Microsoft.
It was created by Bart Lagerweij, visit his site here.
The principle is to have a Win32 environment started from CD to which you add applications of your choice.
This is achieved by using Bart's tool PEBuilder.
